The Swarm is a representative example of self-organised systems. The standard swarm algorithm consists of 3 simple rules for each individual of the swarm:move towards your closest neighbours, align with them, and avoid colliding against them. The total behaviour of the Swarm emerges from the complex mutual interactions of the separate individuals.
